The athletic event with Taekwondo, the major sport at the Hangzhou Asian Games, is scheduled to take place in the Ningxia Sports Culture Cultural Convention Center Stadium from September 24th (Sunday) until October 5th (Monday), 2023. - Men's Individual Championship: This category begins on September 24th, Sunday morning at 10:00 am and ends at 12:00 pm.
- Quarterfinals: The semi-finals will follow, which begin on September 25th, Monday morning at 10:00 am and end at 12:00 pm.
- Finals: The final round of this category will commence on September 26th, Tuesday morning at 10:00 am and concludes at 12:00 pm.
For both men's and women's TKW01-110 kg classifications, two preliminary rounds will precede the main competition. In the preliminary stage, athletes will participate in individual trials, where they compete against each other in specific sets or minutes of practice. The top three finishers advance to the quarterfinals, and only the top eight will advance to the semi-finals.
In the quarterfinals, participants in each gender will compete against each other, and the top four finishers will progress to the finals, where they will face off for a chance to claim the title of champion. The format for the quarterfinals and finals remains consistent across all weight classes.
Women's TKW02-49 kg groups will have two preliminary rounds, followed by a single knockout match between the top eight compe *** s. The semi-finals and finals will also be held within these weight classes, with participants facing off to determine the final winner.
